East Kilbride Rotary Club
As many people know Roddy Shanks has a Horticultural background. Over the past 3 years Roddy & Kathe have opened up their home & garden to raise money for charitable causes, this year they have chosen Eye Camps and on the 8th of August 2015 they invited fellow Rotarians and friends to come along to their open day.
A lot of hard work by Roddy & Kath had been put in place to present this show of Goodies that had to be eaten by those who attended the gathering and who also would have to be prepared to dip into their pockets for the Eye Camps.
During the afternoon a raffle & competition had been put in place as away to raise money. Prizes had been donated, the sum raised was in the region of of £500 and hopfully when all is counted we will be in excess of that.

Kath and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for supporting the garden party last Saturday. The weather was fairly kind which meant we were able to sit out for some of time. The conversation was flowing as was the food and drink. We have raised just short of £500.00 to date which is fantastic. There are some squares left for the Treasure Hunt, which I will take along on Friday to complete, when all squares have been chosen, the winners will be announced. As we talked about on Saturday, the Board will be asked to consider the money raised being sent the the Rotary supported charity, Eye Camps.
Well done everyone and thank you again.
Roddy
PS total raised £560.00
